Rady Children's Hospital San Diego Healthcare Auth Specialist II - MPF Central Authorizations in San Diego, California

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision the Healthcare Authorization Specialist II is responsible for ensuring that insurance benefits are verified, patient responsibility estimates are calculated and communicated to the patient and/or family and authorization is secured timely for all assigned service types. The incumbent is responsible for being a specialist in their area for internal and external customer inquiries as well as supporting various communication needs as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent

  • 2 years of Healthcare Authorization experience or 4 years of experience in Healthcare Revenue

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Epic or other EMR Systems

  • 5 years of experience

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

The expected hiring range for this position is $22.00 to $30.26
